MASON CITY – Renovations are being completed at the Lime Creek Nature Center.
The Lime Creek Nature Center is entering the final phase of their exhibit renovation project. During this time the staff will be painting, temporarily removing mounts and exhibits, and completing other various tasks in preparation for the upcoming installation of new exhibits. The main floor of the center will be in this phase for the next two weeks.
To accommodate the installation phase, the nature center exhibit area will be closed from November 30 until December 8. The Cerro Gordo County Conservation Board office in the nature center will remain open during this time. Exhibit installation will begin on December 2 with an estimated completion date of December 7.
A grand opening to celebrate the renovation project will be scheduled for a later date. However, the center will reopen as normal on Monday, December 8.
