IOWA CITY – Iowa defeated Oral Roberts, 87-74, Friday night in Carver Hawkeye Arena.
Luka Garza amassed a career-high in points (30). Jack Nunge recorded his first double-double of his career with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Five Hawkeyes scored in double-figures this evening (Bohannon, Garza, McCaffery, Nunge, Wieskamp).
Iowa led by 15 points at halftime and did enough in the second half to build a 21-point lead.
Iowa returns to action next Thursday, hosting North Florida in a Las Vegas Invitational preliminary game. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. (CT) on Mediacom Court at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
