Wanted Iowa man busted trying to break into Northern Iowa convenience store

AYRSHIRE, IA – A Wanted Iowa man was busted trying to break into a Northern Iowa convenience store Monday afternoon.

On November 4, 2019, at 2:07 PM, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a person breaking into the former Quick Stop Convenience Store located at 1204 Doon Street in Ayrshire. Upon investigation, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Andrew Mammen of Ayrshire, Iowa for burglary in the 3rd degree, a class D felony, and criminal mischief in the 3rd degree an aggravated misdemeanor. It was discovered through the investigation Mammen had warrants for his arrest out of Davenport, IA. For theft in the 2nd degree and burglary in the 3rd degree.

Mammen was transported to the Palo Alto County Jail without incident where he awaits an initial appearance in front of a judge.
