Three men arrested after invading private property in Worth county

RURAL WORTH COUNTY – Three men were arrested after invading private property in Worth county this weekend.

On October 12, 2019 at approximately 10:06 PM, a deputy with the Worth County Sheriff’s Office investigated a suspicious vehicle parked at a residence after discovering the homeowner did not want the vehicle on the property and did not know who it belonged to. The vehicle, known by the deputy to have been occupied, was no longer occupied. The homeowner advised that multiple subjects had ran into their backyard from the vehicle.

A short time later, 20-year-old Eric Neswold of Rock Falls and 21-year-old Lucas Yezek of Marion were located and law enforcement was advised there was still one subject at large. The third subject, 21-year-old Klay Witte of Manly, turned himself into authorities at approximately 1:00 AM.

Neswold was charged with Trespassing, Minor in Possession of Alcohol and Interference with Official Acts.

Yezek was charged with Trespassing, Supplying Alcohol to a Minor and Interference with Official Acts.

Witte was charged with Trespassing and Interference with Official Acts. Neswold may be facing Operating While Intoxicated charges pending further investigation.

The Worth County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office and Mason City Police Department. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
