MORGANTOWN, WV – Iowa State’s offense and defense came up big out in West Virginia on Saturday, propelling the Cyclones to a 38-14 victory over West Virginia.

Defensively, Iowa State held West Virginia to just 41 rushing yards in the game and only 190 yards total. Theme was tied, 14-14 at the half in a game that looked like either team could win, but Iowa State’s defense in the second half pitched a shutout. Iowa State quarterback Brock Purdy turned up his game, and was 10-13 passing, throwing a touchdown.

Iowa State will be on the road at Texas Tech next Saturday at 11 a.m. The game will be televised by FS1.
