NORTHWOOD – Three people from Albert Lea were arrested after a deputy stopped a vehicle in Northwood.
On May 21, 2019 at approximately 10:04 PM, a deputy with the Worth County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a Black 1998 Honda CR-V on 8th St/4th Ave N in the City of Northwood for expired registration. Upon approaching the vehicle, the deputy observed a strong odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle founded a green leafy substance consistent with marijuana with an odor of marijuana as well as several items of drug paraphernalia.
As a result of the stop, three persons were arrested and face charges:
– 26-year-old Zachary Kubatzki of Albert Lea was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana, First Offense), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Expired Registration (Potential Operating While Intoxicated charge may be filed at a later date)
– 20 year old Braelyn Hellner of Albert Lea was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana, First Offense) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
– 38 year old Amanda Carson of Albert Lea was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant.
Driving with an expired registration just screams, law enforcement, please stop me. What a dumbass. And these people are allowed to vote.
