Minnesota driver caught with meth in Worth county

RURAL WORTH COUNTY – A Minnesota driver was caught with meth in Worth county.

On April 7, 2019 at 1:04 AM, a Worth County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on the Interstate 35 northbound on-ramp at the intersection of Highway 105 for an equipment violation. A Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputy with a narcotics K-9 were called to assist with the traffic stop. A search of the vehicle was conducted. The driver identified as 28-year-old Michael Allen Porter of Fairmont, Minnesota was arrested. Porter was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Offense-Methamphetamine (aggravated misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor).
