DES MOINES – Gov. Kim Reynolds signed a bill, H.F. 288, on March 22. She was joined by United States Airforce Secretary Heather Wilson and U.S. Senator Joni Ernst. The bill expands the availability of the Injured Veterans Grant Program funding and expedites the process for military spouses to obtain an occupational licenses in Iowa.
“The men and women who serve in the armed forces have chosen a career that places others above themselves and I want to ensure that Iowa is the most military-friendly state in the nation. We have a responsibility to these individuals and their families to eliminate barriers for success,” said Gov. Reynolds. “It was an honor to sign today’s bill in front of our military members, Secretary Wilson, and Senator Ernst. This new law welcomes additional skilled talent to our workforce and continues the effort to make Iowa the most military-friendly state in the nation.”
