CHARLES CITY – A Charles City man was jailed for drunk driving recently.
On March 13, 2019 at about 9:23 PM, officers with the Charles City police department stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of Gilbert Street for a traffic violation. After an investigation, 72-year-old Robert King of Charles City was arrested for operating while intoxicated. He was also charged with failing to obey a traffic control device.
King was jailed and soon released, pending a court date.
