AMES – The Iowa State men’s basketball team closed out the regular season with a close home loss to #8 Texas Tech, 80-73.
Texas Tech (26-5, 14-4 Big 12) made all 13 of its free throws and was efficient for the three-point line, hitting 42%. Iowa State (20-11, 9-9 Big 12) led 36-34 at the half.
The Big 12 Conference Tournament starts this week; Iowa State is the 5-seed and will face Baylor on Thursday morning.
