RURAL MASON CITY – A Texas man was injured Friday night in a pickup rollover accident outside Mason City as he tried to pass another vehicle.
Cerro Gordo county sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to 10000 block of 300th Street in Cerro Gordo County at 8:17 PM for a single vehicle personal injury accident. A 2013 silver Ford F 150 driven by 39-year-old Willie E Woodson of Dallas, Texas was driving east bound on 300th Street and was attempting to pass another motorist when he lost control, entered the south ditch and flipped and rolled several times. The damage sustained to the vehicles was disabling.
Willie E Woodson was taken to Mercy One for minor injuries by personal vehicle. He was treated and released. Woodson was cited for failure to maintain control, unsafe passing, no valid driver’s license, and violation – financial liability coverage: accident related.
