RURAL BREMER COUNTY – Two Charles City residents were hurt in a 3-vehicle accident near Nashua early Saturday morning.

The Iowa State Patrol says the accident took place Saturday, December 29 at about 2:06 AM on Highway 218 South of Nashua near county road C13. The patrol reports that a 1995 Chrysler Cirrus driven by 48-year-old Donald Fairholm of Charles City was struck by a 200 Dodge Dakota driven by 57-year-old Bambi Teska of Charles City after Teska’s vehicle was struck by a 2015 Ford van driven by 49-year-old James Garner of Dunlap, Illinois. Dunlap was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed and struck Teska’s slower-moving vehicle.

As a result of the collisions, Garner, Teska and Fairholm were all injured and transported by Chickasaw Ambulance to a Charles City hospital.

The accident remains under investigation.
