Northern Iowa woman dead after auto crash Saturday

RURAL HAMILTON COUNTY – A Fort Dodge woman died after an auto accident on a rural road in Hamilton county Saturday afternoon.

The accident took place Saturday, December 27 at about 4:26 PM on Highway 17 1 mile north of the Boone county line. According to the Iowa State Patrol, a southbound 2009 Nissan Quest driven by 47-year-old Heidi Beisch of Fort Dodge lost control and spun counter clockwise into the path of a northbound Town and Country mini van driven by 30-year-old Emily Loughry of Webster City. The Chrysler mini van struck the passenger side of the Nissan Quest.

As a result of the crash, Beisch was pronounced deceased at the scene. Loughry and her 3 children were transported to the Boone Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
