RURAL FLOYD COUNTY – Two people were hurt in an auto accident Friday in rural Floyd county.

The accident took place Friday, December 14, 2018 at about 9:31 AM at the intersection of 270th Street and Dancer Avenue. According to the Iowa State Patrol, 41-year-old Tony Keeling of Nora Springs was driving a 2006 Sierra south on Dancer Avenue and met a 2006 Peterbuilt Semi driven by 38-year-old David Noss of Rockwell at the intersection. Allegedly, Keeling failed to stop at the stop sign and entered the intersection, striking the empty grain trailer attached to the semi, splitting it in two.

As a result of the accident, the occupants of the Sierra, Keeling and 25-year-old Aaron Olson of Nora Springs, were taken by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center in Mason City with undisclosed injuries.
