Mary Elizabeth Schiff, 63, of Mason City, died Sunday, November 18, 2018 at her home.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, November 23, 2018 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N Pennsylvania Ave. with Rev. Kenneth Gehling Chaplain – Mercy Medical Center North Iowa officiating. A gathering will take place one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home.

Mary was born June 14th, 1955 in Mason City, the daughter of Robert J. And Marcella (Trebilcock) Reicherts. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1973. In the Spring of 1974, she was united in marriage to Steven Schiff in Sioux Falls, SD. Mary and Steve were blessed with three daughters: April, Heather and Ashley.

In 2003 Mary met Dr. Mike Heston. Together they loved to travel, go fishing and go to the Casino. Mary enjoyed working at Family Eye Care with Mike and her daughter Ashley prior to her retirement in 2015.

Mary had various different jobs throughout the years and spent a lot of her time working to take care of her family. When she wasn’t working she enjoyed hiking at Lime Creek, going to craft shows, and doing crafts. She especially loved spending time with her family.

Mary is survived by her daughters; April and her husband Jeff De Weerd and grandchildren Hannah, Zach and Jordan, Heather Graves and grandchildren Devon (Liz) with great grandchild Kayden, Makayla and Liam, and her baby Ashley Schiff and partner Vicky Westcott. Her significant other Mike Heston and son Steve and Stacy Heston and grandson Dax, and daughter Pam and Terence Occoner and grandchildren Katie and John. She is survived by her brother Bobby Reicherts, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her Step Father Donald Dieter, her sister Sandy “Sugar” Osegera, and a sister in infancy Sandra.
Mary will be greatly missed.
