Three people arrested in connection to drug raid in Northwood

NORTHWOOD – Police caught three people in connection to a raid on a residence in Northwood, resulting in drug charges.

On November 17, 2018 at approximately 11:27 AM, deputies with the Worth County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant at the residence of 906 3rd Ave N in Northwood. As a result of the search, several items of drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription pills unaccompanied by a valid prescription, and a handgun were seized from the residence among other items.

As a result of the search warrant, three people were arrested:

23-year-old Joya Salzkorn of Hartley, IA was taken into custody and charged with unlawful possession of prescription pills, possession of a controlled substance (2nd Offense)(marijuana), possession of a controlled substance (2nd Offense)(methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia.

SALZKORN, JOYA LEEANNE

27 year old Sara Fenske of Northwood, IA was taken into custody for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance (2nd Offense)(marijuana), and possession of a controlled substance (2nd Offense)(methamphetamine).

FENSKE, SARA MARIE

22 year old Taylor Pohar of Milford, IA was taken into custody for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance (3rd or subsequent offense)(marijuana), possession of a controlled substance (3rd or subsequent offense)(methamphetamine) and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

    how in the f**k could this teacher get hired with a past of a drug METH and Controlled substance 1st offence charge. are our school districts not running back ground checks? Some HR manager in Northwood needs to be fired,

    now they need to round up all the mason city city hall people and put them in jail with the girls, they have to be on dope to think the hotel project is a good deal, maybe if they get on some ice meth they will bring back gatehouse too
