JOICE, IOWA – A recent fire destroyed a small Northern Iowa town’s library.
The Worth County Sheriff reports that on September 21, 2018 at 2:59 AM, the Worth County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a fire at the Joice Public Library at 201 Main Street. Emergency personnel arrived to find the unoccupied building engulfed in flame.
The building was reportedly a total loss.
The Worth County Sheriff’s office was assisted by Joice Fire, Hanlontown Fire, Fertile Fire, Lake Mills Fire, Lake Mills Ambulance, Forest City Fire, Worth County Emergency Management, and Alliant Energy.
