Mason City man accused of harming a person this weekend, faces felony charge

MASON CITY – A Mason City man is accused of another serious crime after he allegedly harmed a person this weekend.

At just after midnight on July 22, Mason City police were called to the area of 27th Street SW and Madison Avenue for a report of an assault.  After an investigation, officers arrested 29-year-old Justin James Zobel on a charge of felony willful injury causing serious injury.  He was taken to the county jail, where he remains held on $10,000 bond.

Zobel has a noted crime record, according to a judge, which features domestic abuse, drug possession, burglary, parole violations and more.

He is due in court in this case on August 2.

He looks so tough in that jail picture. Lets see, 29 years old and still getting in fights. Sounds like half the worthless 30 and under population in this town.
