Iowa woman charged with harboring a fugitive in connection to missing South Carolina family

DECORAH – An Iowa woman has been charged with harboring a fugitive in connection to a missing South Carolina family that was nabbed by law enforcement last week.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office said Monday morning that 56-year-old Tami Linne of Bluffton, Iowa, was charged with aggravated misdemeanor Accessory to a Felony in connection to harboring a fugitive. Allegedly, Linne willingly and knowingly harbored wanted felon William Ray and his missing family from South Carolina. William Ray, Jessica Ray and 2-year-old Dakota Ray were located in a vehicle stopped by law enforcement in Winneshiek county on May 17. Dakota Ray had been entered as a missing and exploited child since April 15, 2018. William Ray was arrested and charged with felony theft, operating a non-registered vehicle, no valid drivers license, failure to provide proof of financial liability, theft 5th degree. Jessica Ray was arrested for theft 5th degree.
