Forum planned for new community health center in Mason City

MASON CITY – A community health center is coming to Mason City this fall, and a forum open to the public is planned for next month to offer more details.

The Mason City Police Department says the public is invited to a community forum on the planned Mason City Community Health Center. It will provide additional health care resources to our community, police said in a statement. Opening this fall (no set date has been released), the Mason City Community Health Center will be providing medical, dental and behavioral health services with a primary focus on the underserved population.

No location for the health center in Mason City has been announced. There is a Community Health Center located in Fort Dodge at 126 North 10th Street. It serves seven counties surrounding Fort Dodge.

The community forum is scheduled for May 14th from 6-8pm at the Rhythm Church, 21 8th Street SE, for those wanting more information and to answer any questions.
