Northern Iowa man jailed on felony drug charges

EMMETSBURG, IOWA – A Northern Iowa man was investigated after police noticed illegal drug activity and now faces a number of felony charges.

On March 28, 2018 at 2:23 AM, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 1002 Lawler Street in Emmetsburg, Iowa, in connection with illegal drug activity. As a result of the search warrant, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Richard Gabbard on the following charges:

Gathering where Controlled Substance used, Class D Felony; Possession with the intent to Deliver Marijuana, Class D Felony; Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana), Serious Misdemeanor; Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp, Class D Felony and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. Gabbard was arrested and transported to the Palo Alto County Jail.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Emmetsburg Police Department.
