FAYETTE, IOWA – Further investigation by the Fayette county sheriff’s office has uncovered more sexual relationships at an Iowa residential care facility between CNA’s and patients.
The Fayette county sheriff’s office said Monday that following the arrests of two CNA’s on March 5, 2018 for sexual exploitation as former employees of Prairie View Residential Care facility, further investigation and other evidence gathered during that investigation has led to more arrests.
An investigation determined that former CNA’s employed by Prairie View Residential Care Facility had been discharged in the past for unhealthy relationships with patients. In 2015, Carolyn Marie Wiedrich, age 44 of Sumner was found to have had a sexual relationship with a patient while employed by Prairie View.
In 2016, Shelby Mariah Sebring, age 24 of Hawkeye and Jamie Leah Pagel, age 32 of Sumner also had sexual relationships with patients while employed by Prairie View Residential Care facility in Fayette.
At the time the crime occurred, all patients were court ordered to the facility for treatment.
The three women were arrested on March 23, 2018 and booked into the Fayette County Jail and charged with Sexual exploitation by counselor, therapist or school employee which is a Class “D” Felony, and if convicted, could face five years in prison and be required to register on the sex offender registry. Each of the women later bonded out on a $10,000.00 bond.
This is an on-going investigation and the Sheriff’s office is also looking into further incidents where more charges could be filed.
Sheriff Marty Fisher stated “These CNAs have violated the trust of not only their employers, but also the families of these patients who put their trust in these individuals to care for their family members.”

its no wonder the patients pretended to have a mental disorder and wanted to go there for treatment. the girls were just giving them a treatment and got caught.
