CHARLES CITY – A convicted Charles City feeling who has spent time in Iowa prisons and the Beje Clark criminal warehouse was recently arrested after kicking in a door.
Charles City police were called to the 500 block of South Main Street on the evening of March 6, 2018. Officers arrived at 8:50 PM to deal with a disturbance in which a male suspect was kicking a door. After an investigation, officers arrested 30-year-old Franklin Leslie of Charles City on a charge of third-degree criminal mischief.
Leslie was jailed and released the next day. He will be arraigned on April 24.
Leslie, who has numerous felony complaints lodged against him over the years, was sent to the Beje Clark criminal dormitory back in 2012 after a felony drug conviction. He was soon sent to an Iowa prison soon thereafter. Currently, he is facing a first-degree harassment charge in Floyd county as well as charges of disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident in Charles City earlier this month.
