CHARLES CITY – A Charles City man is accused of felony first-degree burglary after an arrest this past weekend.
On Saturday evening, February 17, Charles City police went to the 400 block of Richings Street for a report of an assault. Police say suspects has fled the scene by the time officers had arrived. Soon thereafter, however, police located and arrested 29-year-old Isaac Brown of Charles City for contempt of court and felony first-degree burglary.
Brown was taken to jail, but appears to have been released. He now awaits a March 5 court hearing.
Brown was charged with second-offense domestic abuse assault by Charles City police back on July 3, 2017, leading to the no-contact order. He is now accused of violating that protective order at least 3 times. That case is still in court, with a trial date now set for April 10.
