NIACC women roll past Tritons, 93-73

FORT DODGE – For the fourth time in five seasons, the NIACC women’s basketball team has reached the 20-victory plateau.

No. 13 NIACC cruised to a 93-73 victory over Iowa Central Saturday afternoon in an ICCAC contest in Hodges Fieldhouse on the Iowa Central campus.

NIACC (20-6) was led by sophomore UU Longs with 18 points. Also in double figures for the Lady Trojans were Adria Stewart with 15, Taylor Laabs with 14 and Mikayla Homola with 12.

NIACC, which led 32-16 after the first quarter, connected on 17 3-point goals as the Lady Trojans improved their mark to 7-3 in the ICCAC.

Laabs led the way with five 3-point goals. Homola was next in line with four 3-point goals and Cici Kieger and Kelsie Willert both had three 3-pointers.
Morgan Frank and Stewart led NIACC with seven rebounds apiece and Khalilah Holloway had six rebounds.

NIACC, which is all alone in second place in the ICCAC, returns to action Wednesday in an league game at Ellsworth.
