Worth county fire causes evacuations

WORTH COUNTY – A fire in Worth county caused homes to be evacuated as a welding business burned.

On Sunday, February 4, 2018, at approximately 4:43 A.M. deputies were dispatched to Northwood Welding for a structure fire. Upon arrival, deputies found the building to be fully engulfed in flames. Neighboring homes were evacuated as a result of the fire. Cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The Worth County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Northwood Volunteer Fire Department and Alliant Energy.
