Former Domino’s delivery man nabbed at Pizza Hut on probation violation for theft

MASON CITY – Police nabbed a former Domino’s Pizza delivery man at Pizza Hut this week for violating his probation for cashing his paychecks illegally.

Brandon Dean Tonn was wanted on an arrest warrant in connection to a theft case is which he cashed his own Domino’s Pizza paychecks two times, reportedly profiting over $2,000 in the caper. In typical Cerro Gordo county justice, he got a plea deal with a deferred judgment with probation to a lesser crime of third-degree theft, versus the felony charge he originally faced. A probation violation report was filed in January, however, leading to the arrest warrant. Cerro Gordo county deputies caught up with Tonn at the Mason City Pizza Hut, 2117 4th Street SW, on the evening of Friday, January 26 at about 9:39 PM, and he was arrested.

Tonn was taken to the county jail, where he remains held as he awaits a hearing scheduled for February 28.
