MASON CITY – Police in Mason City caught a man leaving a local cement plant with stolen items, leading to his arrest.
Mason City police officers arrested 40-year-old Justin Laroy Dutcher of Mason City early this morning in connection with a burglary at the Holcim cement plant. Dutcher was taken into custody at around 4:30 AM as he was leaving the Holcim property. He had in his possession electrical wire and components that were identified as belonging to the business.
Dutcher was initially charged with trespassing and possession of burglary tools. Two additional charges of 3rd degree burglary were filed this morning on Dutcher for today’s burglary and another burglary that was reported on January 8th.
Dutcher is currently being held at the Cerro Gordo County Jail.
