
MASON CITY – Three Mason City nonprofit organizations are receiving community grants totaling $4,400 from the Alliant Energy Foundation in the second of its two 2017 giving cycles.
“We are proud to support these organizations that are doing such valuable work in our communities,” said Julie Bauer, executive director of the Alliant Energy Foundation. “Our investments support their crucial activities in the areas of Helping Families, Education and the Environment.”
Those earning grants are:
· Mason City Public Library, $2,000 for Youth Programming
· Caring Pregnancy Center, Mason City, $1,000 for Baby Bucks Program
· City of Mason City, $1,400 for One on One Mentoring Project
These grants are among 117 the Foundation awarded this grant cycle, totaling over $303,000.
