MASON CITY – Cam McPherson grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds to lift the NIACC men’s basketball team to a 74-39 victory over Associated Free Lutheran Bible School on Saturday in a nonconference game in the NIACC gym.
McPherson’s previous career high was five rebounds twice. The 18 rebounds was the most by a Troian since Josh White grabbed 15 against Little Priest Tribal College on Jan. 5, 2017.
Rodrick Fuller led NIACC with a career-high nine points as a total of 13 Trojans scored in Saturday’s game. Orrington Hamilton and Kaleb Anderson both scored eight points for the Trojans (11-3).
Hamilton dished out five assists and collected three steals.
The 11-3 start for NIACC is the best since the Trojans also started 11-3 in the 2013-14 season.
NIACC returns to action Jan. 10 in a nonconference game at DCTC. The Trojans begin play in the ICCAC on Jan. 17 at Kirkwood.
