PLYMOUTH – The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train arrived in North Iowa, to the delight of children and their parents.
The Holiday Train drew a small town crowd as it passed through Plymouth Wednesday night. Both sides of the tracks throughout the town were lined with cars filled with youngsters and their parents awaiting to see the train go through their town.
The train showed up blowing it’s horn announcing it’s arrival. The lights that decorated each car of the train lit up the surrounding area and music was being played to get people in the holiday spirit.
The Holiday Train was scheduled to go through Grafton at 6:30 then through Plymouth on it’s way to the Mason City depot on South Pennsylvania, where a bigger crowd awaited.
I sure wish I knew in advance – I always miss this event.
