MASON CITY – At least two people were hurt in a vehicle rollover near Mason City Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 2001 Toyota 4Runner was traveling east on Highway 18 at about 2:04 PM Wednesday when it entered the gravel shoulder, over-corrected and rolled several times before coming to rest. The driver of the vehicle was ejected. The names of a 36-year-old passenger and a 18-year-old passenger are not yet being released.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office, Mason City Fire, Mercy Air Life and Iowa DOT Maintenance.

There also was a puppy that was ejected from the vehicle that hasn’t been found. Last seen running south from the accident.
