FORT DODGE – The No. 9 NIACC women’s basketball team dropped a 67-54 decision to Northeast CC on Friday at the Great Western Shootout on the Iowa Central campus.
NIACC was led by Shayley Vesel with 15 points and Khalilah Holloway grabbed 15 rebounds.
Northeast CC forced the Lady Trojans (9-1) into 20 turnovers.
“This game will make us better,” NIACC coach Todd Ciochetto said.

Also, the NIACC Dance Team, under the direction of head coach Tina Wihlm, placed second in the Hip Hop competiton in the community college division at the Iowa State Dance Championships Friday.
The dance team also placed third with its Pom and Jazz routines.
This was the second year of competition for the NIACC Dance Team
At last season’s competition, NIACC placed third with its Pom routine and was fourth in Hip Hop and Jazz.
