MASON CITY – A local bar owner was arrested for drunk driving recently.
Mason City police tell NIT that on October 5, 2017, at 1:20 AM, Roger A. Waner was contacted and stopped by police after driving to 1214 Moonstone Court. After further investigation, Waner was charged with speeding and first-offense operating while intoxicated. Waner was taken to jail and soon released.
Waner, who is part-owner of The Place 2B! in downtown Mason City, has entered a not-guilty plea. No court date has been set, records show.
The bar has been for sale for awhile now.
