Laabs, who is from Zimmerman, Minn., scored a career-high 31 points in NIACC’s 98-89 victory over Iowa Western last Saturday. She was 8 of 18 from the field, including two 3-point goals, and was 13 of 18 from the free-throw line.
Laabs also dished out three assists to go along with three steals and two rebounds.
Laabs is the second NIACC player to garner league player of the week honors this season. Freshman Mikayla Homola was the league’s player of the week for the week of Oct. 30-Nov. 5.
