On the evening of October 30, Charles City police went to the first block of Riverside Avenue for a vehicle stuck on the railroad tracks. After an investigation, officers arrested 66-year-old Michael Metz of Charles City for first-offense operating while intoxicated and driving off the roadway.
Metz is due in court later in December.
