MESERVEY – A Meservey man was stopped for a bad brake light and then carted off to jail for drink driving.
A Cerro Gordo county deputy stopped a vehicle driven by 60-year-old Jeffery L. Johnson of Meservey on the evening of October 22 for having a bad brake light. During the traffic stop, which took place near 3rd Street and Des Moines Street in Merservey just before 8 PM, Johnson was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested on a charge of first-offense operating while intoxicated and taken to jail.
