Rudd couple busted after cops raid house outside Mason City

RURAL MASON CITY – A Rudd couple was busted after cops raided house outside Mason City.

On September 21, 2017 the Cerro Gordo Sheriff’s Office executed two search warrant in connection to a burglary that occurred in the 1000 block of Fair Meadow Drive between September 3, 2017 and September 5, 2017.

As a result of the search warrants, stolen items were located at both locations. Jamie Nicholson, age 32 of Rudd was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Theft. Thomas Kerlin, age 30 of Rudd, was arrested and charged with ls’ Degree Theft, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Interference with Official Acts and a Floyd County Warrant for Malicious Prosecution.

Nicholson is being held with a bond of $20,000 Cash/Surety/10% Cash and Kerlin is being held on $20,000 Cash/Surety/10% Cash and the Floyd County warrant for $750 10% Cash.

The case remains under investigation. Mason City police and Floyd county sheriff’s department assisted in the investigation.
