RURAL JEWELL, IOWA – An Iowa woman was found dead in a Hamilton county lake near Jewell this week.
On September 7, 2017 at around 2:49 PM, the Hamilton county sheriff’s office received a 911 call from Little Wall Lake. The caller stated there was a body in the lake and they believe the subject is deceased. When emergency personnel arrived on scene they confirmed the subject was deceased. The body was taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny for an autopsy.
Soon thereafter, the deceased person was identified as Arne Wayne Fagervik, age 73 of Blairsburg, Iowa.
Assisting the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was the Ellsworth Jewell Stanhope Police Department, The Iowa State Patrol, The Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation, Hamilton County Medical Examiner, Iowa Department of Natural Resource and Jewell Fire and Rescue.
No foul play is suspected and the incident remains under investigation.
