WEBSTER CITY – A former Webster City school board member has pleaded guilty and been sentenced in connection to charges stemming from lascivious acts he committed against a minor.
Paul Stenger, age 65, was listed as the Director of the Webster City school board on the school district website until he resigned late last year. Steiger, while a member of the school board, was charged by the Webster City police department with lascivious acts with a child (fondle or touch) and second-degree sexual abuse after an alleged crime committed back in January of 2014 against a child under the age of 18. A warrant for his arrest was issued December 6, 2016 and he was arrested that day.
Stenger later pleaded guilty only to a charge of lascivious conduct with a minor, a serious misdemeanor. He was sentenced to two years of probation and must register as a sex offender for 10 years, records show. He must also pay $1,059.31 in fines, court costs and restitution.
