Gov. Reynolds appoints Adria Kester as district court judge

DES MOINES – Gov. Kim Reynolds appointed Adria Kester Thursday as district court judge in the Judicial District 2B.

Kester will fill the judicial seat formerly held by Judge Gary L. McMinimee. With this appointment, Kester will be the first female district court judge in the history of Judicial District 2B.

Kester, of Ogden, received her law degree from Drake University Law School and her undergraduate degree from Iowa State University. She currently serves as district associate judge in Judicial District 2B.

Judicial District 2B includes Boone, Calhoun, Carroll, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Humboldt, Marshall, Pocahontas, Sac, Story, Webster and Wright counties.
