Four people arrested after Northern Iowa house raided and drugs, stolen guns found

FAYETTE, IOWA – Four people were arrested after local law enforcement raided a Northern Iowa house and illegal drugs, stolen guns and cash were found inside.

On June 26, 2017, at approx. 3:00 PM, a search warrant was executed at a private resident located at 401 W. Water Street in the City of Fayette. Fayette Police have reported that this residence has been investigated on other criminal investigations in the past.

During this investigation, a search of the home revealed several guns that were stolen from another state and hidden at the home, more than $1,500.00 in cash that was derived from the sale of stolen property, Methamphetamine and many items of drug paraphernalia.

Investigators arrested four people at the scene, but only one of the arrestees live at the home. The other three arrestees live in other areas of Iowa and traveled to Fayette to commit their crimes. Those arrested were as follows: Joshua Glen Sargent, age 33, a resident at the mentioned home, was arrested and charged with being a Felon in Control of a Firearm, Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Jesus Vargas, age 36, a Postville resident, was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. His 2013 Dodge Pick-Up was impounded and towed from the scene.

Marva Kay Seeders, age 60, of Milford, IA was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Her 2016 Pontiac sedan was impounded and towed from the scene.

Cynthia Caroline Robertson, age 41, a resident of Bristol, Tennessee, was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

This investigation is being conducted by several agencies which include the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, the City of Fayette Police Department, the Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office and the Lacrosse County Wisconsin Sheriff’s Office. This is an ongoing investigation and more charges for the mentioned individuals are anticipated.
