FOREST CITY – A man awaiting a plea hearing in a case in which he’s accused of a felony gun crime at the NIACC campus has been arrested again after causing mischief.
On May 26, 2017 at 11:16 AM, 20-year-old Andrew Jordan Knutson of Forest City was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief – 4th Degree by Forest City police. The arrest was made following a report of a burglary that was in progress at a residence on Winnebago Way, police said. He was jailed and later released, pending a July 10 hearing.
Back on February 21, 2017, area law enforcement located Andrew Jordan Knutson on the NIACC campus in response to a welfare check. He was picked up and taken to Mercy Hospital East Campus without incident. Allegedly, a handgun was found in Knudtson’s car during a subsequent search. As a result, Mason City police charged Knudtson with felony carrying weapons on school grounds.
After a not-guilty plea back in April, Knutson with his public defender is now scheduled for a plea change hearing on June 28.
