CHARLES CITY – A Charles City man was taken to jail after police concluded he had burglarized a church and the YMCA.

At 3:18 pm Wednesday, June 7, officers with the Charles City police department arrested Justin Gulian, age 26 of Charles City on charges of: 2 counts of third-degree burglary (both class D felonies), second-degree theft (class D felony) and fourth-degree criminal mischief (serious misdemeanor). Police say these charges are all a result of an investigation into two burglaries; one at the Trinity United Methodist Church and one at the YMCA. Gulian also had a warrant for unauthorized use of a credit card (an aggravated misdemeanor).

Gulian is being held at the Floyd County jail at this time, pending a court appearance.
