MASON CITY – A Rockwell man was jailed on a felony enticing of a minor charge.
Jesse Dean Vanness, age 27 of Rockwell, was booked into the Cerro Gordo county jail on the afternoon of May 26. He is charged with enticing away a minor. Iowa code states that a person commits a class “D” felony when, without authority and with the intent to commit an illegal act upon a minor under the age of sixteen, the person entices away a minor under the age of sixteen, or entices away a person reasonably believed to be under the age of sixteen.
Vanness was held on bond and soon released, pending a court date.
