OELWEIN – A months-long investigation in the sleepy little Northern Iowa town of Oelwein has led to the arrests of numerous individuals by multiple law enforcement agencies for drug-related crimes.
The Oelwein Police Department, with the assistance of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department and the Iowa State Patrol, executed numerous arrest warrants, in and around Oelwein. These warrants are the result of a multi-month investigation into the sale/distribution of controlled substances. The following have been arrested as a result of this investigation:
Joseph Barker, 35, of Oelwein. Barker has been charged with:
1) Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine – Class C Felony
Randy John Butts, 38, of Oelwein. Butts has been charged with:
1) Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine – Class C Felony
—While placed in custody, controlled substances were located on his person. Therefore, Mr. Butts has also been charged with:
2) Possession of controlled substance – Methamphetamine – Serious Misdemeanor
Brad Everett Drewelow, 50, of Oelwein. Drewelow has been charged with:
1) Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine – Class C Felony
Elizabeth Helen Gabriel, 30, of Oelwein. Gabriel has been charged with:
1) Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine – Class C Felony
Abby Claire Green, 19, of Fairbank. Green has been charged with:
1) Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine – Class C Felony
Justin Kyle Green, 24, of Oelwein. Green has been charged with:
1) Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Marijuana – Class D Felony
—While placed in custody, controlled substances were located on his person.
Therefore, Mr. Green has also been charged with:
2) Possession of controlled substance – Marijuana 2nd offense – Serious Misdemeanor
3) Possession of drug paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor
David Allan Latham, 27, of Oelwein. Latham has been charged with:
1) Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine – Class C Felony
Matthew Ward Moore, 24, of Oelwein. Moore has been charged with:
1) Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine – Class C Felony
Brian Edward Otdoerfer, 32, of Oelwein. Otdoerfer has been charged with:
1) Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine – Class C Felony
—While placed in custody, controlled substances were located on his person. Therefore, Mr. Otdoerfer has also been charged with:
2) Possession of controlled substance – Marijuana 3rd offense – Aggravated Misdemeanor
3) Possession of drug paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor
Daniel Eugene Parker, 53, of Oelwein. Parker has been charged with:
1) Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Prescription medications – Class C Felony
—While placed in custody, controlled substances were located on his person. Therefore, Mr. Parker has also been charged with:
2) Possession of controlled substance – Marijuana 2nd offense – Serious Misdemeanor
3) Possession of drug paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor
Eric Jason Rose, 41, of Sumner. Rose has been charged with:
1) Possession of a Controlled Substance in excess of 5 grams – methamphetamine – Class B Felony
The rounding up of these individuals was a collaborative effort between the Oelwein Police Department, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department and the Iowa State Patrol.
