Wanted domestic abuser caught in the act again

MASON CITY – A man with no permanent address but already convicted of domestic abuse assault last year in Mason City was caught in the act again this week and is now behind bars.

Mason City police were summoned to 114 6th NW on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 12. Officers arrived at 3:34 PM to deal with the domestic incident that was unfolding there. At the scene, officers encountered 31-year-old Keith David Walker, who was wanted on arrest warranted connected to his conviction last year for domestic abuse assault involving strangulation. Walker was placed under arrest and taken to jail on the warrants plus a new charge of aggravated domestic abuse assault involving strangulation.

Walker remains held in the Cerro Gordo county jail at this time on no bond. In his guilty plea last year, Walker was given a suspended 5-year prison term and three years of probation. He has been accused twice since then of violating his probation. He’ll face a probation revocation hearing on April 25.
