Khat, who was selected as the NJCAA Midwest region indoor track athlete of the year, became the first NIACC male athlete to claim a national track and field title with his victory in the 800-meter run in a school record time of 1:51.78 at the NJCAA national indoor meet in March.
Khat also placed 17th at the NJCAA national cross country meet in November of 2016.
