MASON CITY – A Mason City woman faces theft and assault charges after she allegedly assaulted an employee at Walmart during a heist.
Victoria Marie Cunningham, age 47, was arrested for Theft in the 4th Degree back on December 26 after taking over $300.00 in items from Walmart without paying for them. Mason City police say that an assault charge was filed after Cunningham assaulted an employee in an effort to escape after she was detained. The injury was not serious and did not require hospitalization.
Cunningham and her public defender will be in court January 13 for a hearing.

I usually just go to work every weekday, and then every Friday, in exchange for my labor, my employer gives me money. Then I am free to spend that money on things such as, a mortgage, food, gas, insurance premiums, toiletries, clothing and maybe a little booze.
