MASON CITY – Police in Mason City have uncovered fake bills in circulation and are warning folks to keep an eye out.
Chinese Bank Training Notes have shown up in circulation a couple of times in the last two weeks here in the Mason City area, police say. One was passed to a local business and another showed up in a deposit at a bank.
Th eMason City police department would like businesses and members of the community to be aware of these fake bills.
Anyone coming across these bills being used as counterfeits is asked to call the police department at 641-421-3636.
